Today I did my usual 4.5m walk down seminole to Henry, down Henry to Forest Park, down Forest Park to Lake Harbor, down Lake Harbor to Maryland, back to Farmwood. The only thing different about the walk today was my unexplained desire to try and run. so by the time I got to Forest Park, I took a deep breath, adjusted my headphones, pushed my goggles up and started to run. I haven't tried to run in years, so I wasn't even sure that I could do it. I started out slow, and before I knew it, I had gone 100 yards...then 200 yards...then 300. I ran as long as I could, until I felt I may be pushing my luck(cardiovascularly speaking). I would walk for a while and catch my breath, then start running again. I would repeat this pattern until finally I was home. I would like to keep this up. Maybe one day I will be able to run the entire way.
